4 CIT Awards

CIT provides many opportunities to recognize their hard work as mentors, teachers, researchers, and leaders to educate our interpreters. We want to thank them for their service and recognize their accomplishments in our interpreting field.

Interpreter Education & Community Awards

In fact, we are now accepting nominees for the Interpreter Education and Community Awards.  There are a total of six specialized awards under this title:

  • Excellence in Teaching
  • Excellence in Mentoring
  • Excellence in Leadership
  • Excellence in Research
  • Excellence in Community Engagement
  • Excellence in Innovation and Technology Skills

Each specialized award has its own criteria.  We are looking for individuals who demonstrate excellence in their area.
The nomination form includes a few simple questions, such as why the nominee should receive the award, in a written test, along with a summary in ASL via a video.  Please include the video link on the form, plus three letters of support for the nominee.

If you are unsure about the form or criteria, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] with any questions.  We are happy to help.

There are many people out there who deserve recognition for their outstanding work, performance, interpreter education, and community involvement.  Please take time to think about who should be nominated.

The submission deadline is September 15th.

Hope to see you at CIT!
