The second Symposium on Signed Language Interpretation and Translation Research is coming soon! Sponsored by the Gallaudet University Department of Interpretation and Translation, the Symposium will be held March 31-April 2, 2017 on Gallaudet’s campus in Washington, DC. The purpose of the Symposium is to promote the exchange of scholarship on signed language interpretation and translation as well as provide a platform for interdisciplinary research in fields such as linguistics, communication, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and education. The Symposium is a unique gathering in which participants can learn about research on signed language interpretation and translation, cultivate connections among scholars and students, and gain knowledge and ideas about research advancements in our field. The Symposium provides a rare opportunity for researchers and students from around the world to convene, share, and discuss evidence-based studies on signed language interpretation and translation.
