On behalf of my co-chair in registration, Paula Gajewski-Mickelson, I would like to thank our wonderful volunteer team for all their work with making registration and the rest of the conference go so smoothly. They have been willing to pitch in wherever needed and have brought wonderful vitality and energy to this process.
During a down time in the registration room, I asked several of them what they had gleaned from the conference so far. Several of them talked about feeling inspired by what they had learned and the people they had met and that it gave them an increased sense of what they could create and achieve in the future.
So, some of the presentations and research have pointed out the challenges that our field faces. But in seeing this dedicated group of students and recent graduates, I have a feeling the future of our profession will be in good hands.
