At the CIT Conference, one of the things that I often look forward to is the announcement of the Mary Stotler Award. Unfortunately, this year there was no one honored. Apparently, there were no nominations brought forward by our profession to lift up our colleagues.
On behalf of CIT, I have put a reminder in my August 2017 calendar to promote the next opportunity for us to honor someone who has moved our field forward. You can find more information about the Mary Stotler Award, the woman it honors, and people who have been honored in the past on the CIT web site.
Please start thinking about what colleagues you feel are deserving of this honor. It is an important opportunity for us to reflect on those people who have helped create the foundation for us to raise the level of our teaching and practice.
