The Department of Languages at Clemson University is seeking a dedicated professional with a commitment to excellence in teaching for American Sign Language in our Modern Languages program beginning August 2016. Candidates should be prepared to teach ASL courses at the undergraduate level. Department service will include, among other assignments, the evaluation of student outcomes and the assessment of language competency levels. | |
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: | |
Native or near-native proficiency in ASL, and an M.A. or Ph.D. in American Sign Language, Deaf Studies, Linguistics, or other appropriate field is required. Applicants must also have, or be a candidate for ASLTA certification and 3-5 years of college-level teaching experience strongly preferred. | |
