Teach Sign Language Interpreting and related courses for majors and non-majors.
Participate as faculty member for the Interpreting program.

Key Responsibilities
Teach Sign Language Interpreting and related courses for Sign Language Studies and Sign Language Interpreting programs (80%); Advise u8ndergraduate students (5%); Participate in recruiting activities (5%); Participate in Department and Program faculty meetings and committee work (5%); Professional service and scholarly activity as appropriate to rank and experience (5%).
Minimum Qualifications
Earned Bachelor’s degree in ASL Interpreting or related field; Native or near native proficiency in ASL; Currently hold or be eligible for nationally recognized professional credentials in Interpreting or ASL Instruction; Potential for excellence in teaching; Ability to pass criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree Sign Language Interpreting or related field; Two years or more experience teaching at college or university level (online or on-campus); Demonstrated success in interdisciplinary collaborative situations; Experience or interest in curriculum development and accreditation process; Experience or potential for administrative role.
