EIPA Coordinator
Full-Time position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Responsibilities include providing sign language instruction for educational interpreters, training teams in the Educational Interpreter Performance Appraisal (EIPA) process, and conducting independent evaluations of interpreters using EIPA tools. This position will also work as a team member to produce various educational products for dissemination. Qualified individuals must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, including the study of interpreting and American Sign Language (ASL) linguistics, with a Master’s degree preferred. We also require certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), a minimum of five years of previous working experience, and a minimum of three years of supervisory experience. Individuals must demonstrate knowledge and experience with interpreting practices, interpreting skill sets and educational discourses typically encountered in K-12 settings and possess previous experience managing a department financial budget.
