CIT Finances and the 2020 Conference
The second update is related to our finances and the 2020 conference. Our CIT conference in 2020 in Minnesota will look a little different than past conferences. Currently our CIT finances show that when we hold conferences we spend more than we bring in. This is typical as conferences tend to “lose money” and are not money makers. The past 2 conferences CIT did spend more than we brought in for registration and sponsorships. The 2018 conference, CIT extended its’ budget significantly.
Based on our finances, the CIT 2020 conference will look a little different. CIT remains diligent about providing members with a value-added conference while monitoring our budget. The high quality workshops and networking will remain the same. The CIT 2020 conference planning is in full swing, and we have some amazing, creative opportunities ahead of us. The differences you will notice there will be less food offered at the conference. We will still be providing you food throughout the conference, it just will not be a lavish as 2018. In addition, the banquet will be a ticket to be purchased separate from your conference registration. There will be no entertainer at the banquet, however we do have some special events planned for during the banquet.
CIT remains diligent about providing members with a value-added conference while monitoring our budget.
The CIT 2020 conference in Minnesota will be landmark conference you will not want to miss, please look out for updates on for the conference. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
