Call for Volunteers:
Interpreting Students/Deaf Individuals

The Conference of Interpreter Trainers is seeking the assistance of interpreting students and Deaf individuals from the local community to volunteer at our CIT Conference this fall. Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet renowned presenters, researchers and authors, instructors, and mentors, and take part in exciting activities. Volunteers will have a chance to experience working in various aspects of the conference. Snacks will be available and hotel parking will be reimbursed (but please carpool if possible). Compensation for room, meals, and travel will not be provided.
Requirements for consideration:

  1. Your name and email address
  2. Introduce yourself and discuss why you would like to become a volunteer
  3. Briefly explain your qualifications in regards to your:
    • ASL and English Communication Skills
    • Personal characteristics (i.e. etiquette, responsibility, commitment, etc.)
    • Professional characteristics (i.e. managing stress, time managements, prioritization, etc.)
